I help growing businesses, medical practices and individuals resolve Business and Tax issues.  I have a finance and business background, and my clients appreciate that I can communicate solutions to complex issues in a way that they understand.  They also appreciate that I understand their position when negotiating delicate points on their behalf.

I also prepare QDROs (and Government / Military Apportionment Orders) after divorces, and help with implementing the property aspects of a Divorce (including resolution of post-divorce disputes over the interpretation of property aspects of a settlement agreement).

I also have extensive experience with Estate Planning, and the probate/administration of estates and trusts.

"Eventually" usually happens sooner than we expect, need or want!  Whether it be in your business, after a divorce, or handing an estate, I help you get it done.
I practice solo, so you speak with me when you call.  This also permits me to make office calls and house calls when needed, including evenings and weekends.  I have chosen this business model in order to be available to my kids.

My practice consists of advising and assisting individuals (and their small to mid-sized businesses) about the following:

Business.   All the issues that arise with operating, buying and selling a growing business or medical practice.
Tax.  Hopefully as tax planning, but also where you or your CPA are just not sure you have taken the right position.
Estate Planning.  Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning, Financial and Medical Powers of Attorney, Advance Directives, etc.
Probate.  Help with post-death financial and property issues.  Resolve Beneficiary issues through agreement (hopefully).
QDROs - I negotiate, draft, and implement these post-divorce documents.  Also includes "apportionment orders."

Finalizing a Divorce: I draft and submit QDRO Qualified Domestic Relations Orders--soup to nuts, representing either side.  "Defined Contribution" plans (401(k)'s, 403(b)'s) are a fixed fee of $950.  "Defined Benefit" QDROs are at an hourly rate.  For those involving US Government Pensions (CSRS and FERS; Military), I work with OPM to get it done.

I also have areas in which I do not or will not practice (e.g., Criminal Law).  I know someone who does, and can refer you.

For those attorneys referring clients to me for specialty work, in advance, thank you for the referral.  You will get your client back!  I work with attorneys throughout Georgia, and especially the Atlanta area, including Alpharetta, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Marietta, Duluth, Norcross, Decatur, Stockbridge, Peachtree City, and other areas in Georgia such as Athens, Augusta, Savannah (yes, I am trying to trigger the search engines).

Thanks for coming to check out my website.  Yes, this is also www.Georgia-QDRO.com.
